# Rules Of Metal Pipe
PlayPalace team, 2026.

## TL;DR
Metal Pipe is a zero-skill joke game. There are no decisions, no strategy, and no dignity. A random player picks up a metal pipe and whacks another random player over the head with it. That is the whole game. You press start and find out what happens.

Think of it as a coin flip with more head trauma.

## Gameplay
When the game starts, everything happens automatically. No player input is required at any point. You are a spectator of your own fate.

A random player is chosen as the bonker. A random player (possibly the same one) is chosen as the bonked. The bonker smacks the bonked over the head with a metal pipe, and the bonked is eliminated.

In single bonk mode (the default), that is it. One bonk, one victim, game over. The bonker wins, unless they somehow managed to bonk themselves, in which case everyone else wins. Yes, this can happen.

In multiple bonks mode, the carnage continues. After each bonk, the eliminated player is removed, a new bonker and victim are chosen from the survivors, and the process repeats until only one player is left standing. That last survivor wins.

The game supports 2 to 8 players. With 2 players in single bonk mode, the whole thing is over in about five seconds. With 8 players in multiple bonks mode, you get a slightly longer and more dramatic experience of watching random names get announced one by one.

### Customizable Options
The host can adjust two settings before the game starts:

* **Multiple Bonks:** Off by default. When disabled, a single bonk determines the winner. When enabled, bonking continues round after round until only one player remains. This is the difference between a quick gag and a slow-motion battle royale where nobody actually does anything.
* **Allow Self-Bonk:** On by default. When enabled, the randomly chosen bonker can accidentally bonk themselves. This adds an element of slapstick. When disabled, the bonker always hits someone else, which is arguably less funny but produces more predictable outcomes.

## Keyboard Shortcuts
There are no game-specific keyboard shortcuts. Metal Pipe requires no player input once it starts. You are along for the ride.

## Game Theory / Tips
* There is no strategy. The game is entirely random. You cannot influence the outcome in any way.
* If you want the best odds of winning, play with fewer opponents. In a 2-player game you have roughly a 50/50 shot. In an 8-player game, less so.
* Turning off self-bonk removes the possibility of the bonker taking themselves out, which slightly changes the odds but not in a way that matters to anyone thinking seriously about a game called Metal Pipe.
* Multiple bonks mode does not change your overall odds of winning. It just means you get to watch more people get eliminated before the inevitable conclusion.
* If you lose, take comfort in the fact that you never had a chance to begin with.
